training, employment, and community opportunities for all abilities

Our Story
In 1971, our founders Frances E. Goetz and Roy Gillian of Ocean City met to form the beginning of a grassroots organization for supporting employment training for the disabled of Cape May County.
In 1973, Jersey Cape Diagnostic, Training, and Opportunity Center, simply referred to as "Jersey Cape", was incorporated. Since then, we've helped over 5,000 individuals in their vocational goals.
We assist individuals in reaching their maximum potential for leading independent, satisfying lives as members of the community. To do this, we offer multiple services with the end goal oriented towards helping at risk individuals achieve their goals and greater independence.

The best place to start. Guidance on benefits, work, and opportunities with Jersey Cape programs.
Employment Services help adults with disabilities build skills, find meaningful work, and thrive in the community.
Youth initiatives and resources help young people gain skills, education, and work experience for future success.
